Websites built from scratch
Hand-written HTML and CSS. No WordPress, no page builder, no theme quietly fighting you. Fewer moving parts than a template site, and nothing on the page you didn't ask for.
Lethbridge & southern Alberta
I build honest, hand-written websites for small businesses — the kind that read straight, ask for the job, and belong to you the day they launch.
The whole idea
Somebody found you. They have thirty seconds and a thumb. Every single thing on that page should be pushing them toward one action — calling you, or filling in the form.
Everything else is decoration. Most small business websites fail because they were built to look busy instead of built to close.
What you're actually buying
Nobody wakes up wanting a website. You want more of the right customers finding you, believing you, and getting in touch before they scroll to the next result.
What I do
No packages, no tiers, no upsells you didn't ask about. Most projects use some combination of these.
Hand-written HTML and CSS. No WordPress, no page builder, no theme quietly fighting you. Fewer moving parts than a template site, and nothing on the page you didn't ask for.
Site from 2011? Built by a nephew who's since moved away? Stuck on a platform billing you $90 a month for the privilege of editing your own hours? I rebuild it, and you walk away with the domain, the content, and the keys.
Proper titles and descriptions, structured data search engines can read, a sitemap that gets crawled, and your Google Business Profile wired in. This is the groundwork that has to exist before you can compete locally — not a promise about where you'll land.
I write it. Plain sentences, your actual voice, no "leveraging synergies." Most small business sites fail on the words long before anyone notices the design — and nobody hires a company that sounds like a brochure.
Forms that land in your inbox and on your phone, asking for the details you need to price the job before you call back. Your own handler on your own hosting — not a rented form service that caps how many you can receive.
Deployed to your hosting, on your domain, in your name. You get the files, the logins, and a plain-English page explaining how to change the text yourself. You own it outright from the day it launches — every file, every login. Nothing rented, nothing held back.
How it's built
There's no framework, no build step, and no thirty-plugin stack standing between a visitor and your phone number. Less machinery means less to update, less to expire, and less that can break while you're up on a roof.
Selected work
The first three are client work — two local operators, and the second came to me on a referral from the first. The other five are concepts: complete, working sites I built for Lethbridge businesses that haven't commissioned them yet.
Every one is real HTML you can open, not a mockup — and each preview scrolls its whole page, not just the top.

The turnaround time. The attention to detail. It took a load off my mind.
How it goes
You will not be in a four-month discovery phase. You will not be shown a mood board.
Step one
Twenty minutes. What you do, who calls you, what a good customer is actually worth to you, and what you want the site to make happen. No pitch deck, no discovery invoice.
Step two
You see the real thing on a real URL, usually inside a week. Not a picture of a website — the website. Change any of it you like before a single person sees it.
Step three
It goes live on your domain and your hosting. You get the source files, every login, and a short page in plain English on changing your own text. Then it's yours.
Who you're hiring
I'm Oliver. I build websites in Lethbridge, on my own. There's no account manager, and no junior your project quietly gets handed down to. You email me, I answer. Something breaks, I'm the one who fixes it.
I'd rather build a small number of sites properly than a lot of them quickly. Every project gets my full attention until it's right.
Who this is for
Bigger outfits with a marketing team and a brand guide? I'll build to your standards without blinking. But the work I'm proudest of is for people who still answer their own phone.
What it costs
Every project is a fixed quote, given after the first conversation and before any work starts. Not an hourly rate that quietly grows. Not a retainer you have to phone someone to cancel.

Tell me what you do and what isn't working. I'll come back within a day with a straight answer and a number.
Straight to me. No call centre, no gatekeeper.
